Terms and conditions
When you are shopping with us you are automatically accepting our sales conditions. This is why we advise you to thoroughly read all of the below mentioned terms and conditions before you place an order on smafolk.dk.

 

Dispatch
We send all merchandise with GLS, which makes it possible to track the package in case of problems. GLS has more than 500 delivering (package) shops in Denmark and GLS uses video stores and gas stations with long openings hours and also open during the weekend, which gives you the most flexibility when receiving your package. During shipment the package is insured and we kindly ask you to verify the content upon delivery. Should the package or the content be damaged upon arrival please report this to GLS immediately, not later than two days after receiving the package. In case the purchased items are damaged you have to return the package to us. Småfolk is not responsible for damages occurring during transport. We always pack everything very carefully, in order to prevent possible damages.

Shipping and handling
At Småfolk we strive on a quick delivery, so all orders are shipped within 1-2 business days. In case you order when there are sales, there might be a longer delivery time. In case of serious delay (several days) or non delivering of orders. Småfolk will send a new order, free of charge. Notice that orders for Bornholm and other smaller islands, in some cases will take up to 3 days.
Goods sent within the EU and most countries outside the EU will also be sent by GLS and the delivery will take up to 5 working days.

Shipping in Denmark:
Regardless of volume 29 DKK / 4 € will be added to cover freight fee with GLS. All packages is send insured. The package will be sent to either a GLS shop or a business address (work place e.g.) at your choice. You will receive an advisement per mail or text message (SMS) when the package is delivered. When receiving the package, you have to show the email or text message and ID with picture.
At present, we are NOT able to send to your private address.
Orders over 300 DKK are sent freight free.
Besides weekends, we do not ship the following days:

 

Shipping abroad
Shipments abroad are delivered by GLS and sent as an insured package and business mail, which means that the package cannot be sent as a gift to non-EU countries in an attempt to evade local taxes and duties.
Regular service in Europe is app. 4-5 business days
Regular service outside Europe is app. 5-7 business days
Sweden, Finland, Germany, Austria, UK, Netherland and Belgium 49 DKK / 7€. Orders over 750 DKK / €100 are sent freight free.
Norway, Swiss and rest of European incl. Faroe Island and Iceland 150 DKK / 20 €. Orders over 750 DKK / €100 are sent freight free.
Rest of the world 250 DKK / 33€

Right of cancelations
Småfolk offers a 14 day return from the day you receive the order, in case you regret your purchase. In that case you will have to let us know that you regret your purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods. You will have to let us know by contacting the following: (indsæt mail, tlf. nummer osv.). When contacting us, let us know that you wish to return the goods. You can not just refuse to accept/pick up your order, without letting us know that you have regretted your purchase.

Returns
You should send back your order without undue delay, and no later than 14 days after you have contacted us to let us know that you have regretted your purchase. Returning goods that you have regretted purchasing is at your own expense.
When returning the goods you are responsible for them being packed safely. The responsibility for the goods is yours from the moment they are delivered to you.

Condition of the goods when returned
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics and the way it works. In other words – you are allowed to try on the product for size and fit, as you would in a physical store.
If the product has been used for more then just described we will consider it as used which means that you, in case you regret your purchase and wants to return it, will only get a part or none of the purchase amount back, depending on the products commercial value.
This means that to receive the full purchase amount, the same rules applies as for a physical store – you can try on the product for size and fit, but you can not use it.
If the goods are returned with hangtags and in intact packaging, the full purchase price will be returned. If the goods are returned unused but where the packaging and/or hangtags are missing, the amount returned will be reduced from the purchased price to the market price.

Valuation of returned goods

If the goods have been tried out/used in any way that is not covered by the description above, we will consider it as used which means that we, in case you regret your purchase, will only return some or maybe none of the purchase price, depending on the commercial value.

Refund of the purchase amount
If you regret your purchase we will of course refund the purchase amount. In case of an impairment that you are responsible for, this will be deducted from the purchase price.
If you decide to use your right of cancelation we will refund all payments received from you, including delivery costs (excluding additional costs as a result of your own choice of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any case, within 14 days from the date we receive notice og your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as used by you at the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
It is in our right to withhold the reimbursement until we receive the returned goods, unless you have supplied us with evidence that you have returned the goods.

Exchange of goods.
If you want to exchange an item, please fill out the return note, which you will receive along with the delivery, no longer than 14 days from the day of receipt. We do not accept items that have been worn, altered, washed or send back without the hangtag.
To make sure to get the product you want, place a new order at www.smafolk.dk. We will refund the amount for the old goods.

What do I need to ad when sending back the goods?
You will have to ad a copy of your order confirmation.
It is your responsibility that the package is delivered at Småfolk's address and returning the goods are at your own expense. Småfolk does not receive packages delivered without direct delivery at the address appointed.

Notification of defects
All merchandise is covered be The Danish Sale of Goods, giving you 24 months to complain about an item. As a customer you can complain about defects and deficiencies that arise within 24 months of the purchase. You are required to return the goods within "reasonable time" after discovering a defect in the product. We recommend you to contact us as fast as possible, and within 2 months after discovering the defect. However, if the defects or wear or tear are due to negligent use, a lack of maintenance or simply because of normal wear and tear, your right to complain is renounced. In case of a complaint or a missing delivery please contact Customer service by phone +45 31676878 or by e-mail : shop@smafolk.dk. Småfolk will cover freight cost in case of complains.

Payment methods
At Småfolk you can pay with credit cards. The amount will be withdrawn from your account, when the merchandise is shipped from our warehouse. All prices are shown in DKK (Danish version) or € (English version). And is including 25% VAT, unless the order is to a Non EU country. Se also section about Duty and VAT

Using one of the above payment methods, you will be charged a fee, mentioned in brackets. The fee is charged by PBS, PayEx or Paypal.
When paying with a credit card at a Webshop that uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer), you are always protected against abuse. You have the option to refuse payment when you receive your statement. You have no deductibles in the event that your card is misused in a Webshop that uses SSL.
For security reasons we can in some cases, when receiving large orders, request additional documentation in form of a picture of the front page of the credit card, used together with either cardholders drivers license or passport.
You choose the payment method when ordering.
All prices is incl. vat.

SAFETY
The security of Småfolk is high, since all communication between our payment and cardholder is via an encrypted SSL (Secure Socket Layer). In other words, only PBS has access to your data. Neither Småfolk nor other unauthorized persons have the opportunity to see the data exchanged on the purchase. At Småfolk, your personal contact information is 100% confidential and we guarantee that no one else can access them.
Duty and VAT
If you order from an EU country you will have to pay Danish VAT, but no duty due to the rules on free movement of goods. Goods sent from smafolk.dk can not be sent as a gift to non-EU countries, in an attempt to evade local duties and taxes. If you order from a country outside the EU, there can be applied local taxes and duties which we can not be held responsible for, but then we deduct Danish VAT. If this is the case you will be contacted by carrier. Be aware that this may delay shipment part because the goods are held up in customs. It is then your responsibility to contact the shipping carrier and pay the imposed additional costs.

Cookie
A cookie is a data file that Småfolk.dk writes to your hardware when visiting the website. No personal sensitive information is stored. There is just stored details about user behavior, such as username to log in on our website. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, or you can disable cookies altogether. The only thing these cookies are used for is to optimize the website and its functionality, thus making your visit as easy as possible for you.
Cookies can be divided in two categories. One is called "session cookies" – they keep track of what you have placed in your basket, while navigating on the webshop. Session cookies are not stored on your computer, but disappears when you close the browser.

The other type is called @permanent cookies, and is stored as a text file on your computer for about a month. A permanent cookie helps our server reconice your computer next time you log in to our webpage
You can always delete cookies from your computer: Open an Internet Explorer, delete cookies "Tools" -> "Internet Options" -> "General" -> "Browsing history / Delete Cookies".

Personal information
In order to purchase something from Småfolk.dk, you will have to register with the following:

We use the information to send the goods to you.
The information will be kept for five years and are then deleted.
You will have to confirm the personal information, given on the websites, to insure that you are aware of what Småfolk stores and why.
The Director of Småfolk has access to all information.

We do not store customer data encrypted
We do not transmit customer data encrypted.
Personal information given at www.smafolk.dk is never passed on or sold in any way to another person or company and we don't register any personal information.
